Dear alumni friends,
The last year has been very eventful for AAA and its team! We shared together with you a lot of emotions, meetings, letters, petitions and social media endeavors:-). This has lead to unprecedented alumni involvement in AUBG and we are stronger than ever as a community!
The AAA leadership – Vladimir Rusev, Georgi Malchev and Sevda Yontcheva and the AAA team, have been active in involving alumni from near and far.
We have organized and participated in many gatherings, AAA talks and networking events in Sofia, Blagoevgrad, London, Dubai, Brussels, New York, San Francisco, Washington D.C. and many other locations, in our pursuit of connecting people and creating chapters around the world.
We have created the AUBG Multi Talent Quest, a unique two rounded competition that brought 64 11th grade students on campus and showed them the AUBG experience and spirit. This alumni sponsored and organized event was considered the most notable happening on campus in the Spring semester by current students!
We have actively asked for transparency and concrete actions towards the restructuring of AUBG by the Board of Trustees. We have created a petition calling for reforms at AUBG, which is backed by over 700 alumni and growing.
The main focus in recent months has been actively seeking change in the university and many changes are happening – all constituencies have been acknowledged as such, communication with them happens much often, and most important of all – these constituencies can express their view and there is visibility of their will and requests to make AUBG better and better.
A great deal of things have been happening and now it is time for the AAA elections! The current AAA leadership (Vladimir Rusev, Georgi Malchev and Sevda Yontcheva) is stepping aside so as to give the opportunity of all active alumni get involved with the AAA. Now is the time for you to be active and make huge impact in the AUBG community.
