Alumni Pledge - in support of AUBG
We, the Alumni of the American University in Bulgaria, pledge to achieve the following goals of:
$5,000,000
alumni donations over 10 years
(2019-2028)
25%
alumni participation rate (by end of 2028)
$300,000
in alumni donations in Year 4
(July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023)
10%
alumni participation rate in Year 4 (2022-2023)
This fundraising effort is coordinated with AUBG and all future alumni donations will count towards the Alumni Pledge. All donors will have the choice between restricted (endowment, scholarships, student clubs, research, events, etc.) and unrestricted options. Whatever is closest to your heart.

Alumni Pledge Year Four
This year you can choose to support the pledge by joining one of two amazing AUBG-led matching donation opportunities.
Prof. Michael E. McGoldrick was an Economics professor at AUBG who left us a generous will of $375,000 and an opportunity for an additional $650,000 in a 1:1 matching donation challenge. Meaning, the McGoldrick’s estate will only double the named amount if we succeed in raising it in full.

The initiative will match your donation 1:1. Both, your contribution and its matched amount will be directed towards your chosen cause. Donate to get your donation matched!
If you are a first-time donor or, perhaps, you’ve missed supporting AUBG for more than a couple of years – you might consider joining the ABF Matching Opportunity.
All donors will be matched as follows until mid-December 2022:
3:1 – All first-time donors;
2:1 – All lapsed donors (those that have not donated in the past two years);
1:1 – All other donors.

We can support students, faculty and staff in offering generations of students the same AUBG experience that enriched our generations’ lives.
Where can I contribute?
You can direct your contribution to any of the causes listed in the AUBG Donation form, such as AUBG Scholarships, Student Clubs, Naming Opportunities, Panitza Library, Current Projects and Initiatives and others. There is a detailed description for every cause.
How can I contribute?
Thanks to collaboration with AUBG’s Development Office, you can donate via the AUBG website directly to the university, as well as through bank transfer or other options. In case you need any assistance, please contact the development office at [email protected].
