Alumni-founded Dynamo Software acquires majority investment from US private equity firm Francisco Partners

Founded in 1998 as Netage Solutions by alumni Dilyan Pavlov (AUBG Class ’95) and later in partnership with classmate Krassen Draganov, Dynamo Software steadily grew to a premier provider of configurable, cloud-based investment management software for the alternative asset investment industry. By 2017 Dynamo serves a list of over 400 customers, including private equity, venture capital, real estate, and hedge funds along with institutional investors, operating with $3 trillion in assets.

In October 2017 it was announced that US private equity firm Francisco Partners will acquire a majority stake in the software company. Although no official financial terms were disclosed, investment is speculated to be in the range of $50M. The investment from the US-based fund is said to provide Dynamo with a capital partner to support the company’s continued growth and product innovation. It was also announced that Dynamo management and employees will retain significant ownership stakes in the company and that the CEO Krassen Draganov will remain in the executive management of the company.
